When The Orient Express exhibition opened in Singapore last December, it really brought back memories of our time on the Eastern & Oriental Express. In this exhibition, you'll get to experience the original train carriages from more than 100 years ago. The attraction also includes a pop-up gastronomic restaurant, complete with a menu curated by double three Michelin- starred chef, Yannick Alléno.

THE SUMMER FROCK

If there was a type of dress I could own during the summer, (in my case, it's summer all year round..) it would be an off shoulder dress. It is incredibly hot in Singapore right now, I guess that makes it the perfect opportunity to get a little sun-kissed with an off shoulder number. I paired this dress with my current favourite pair of slides from ALDO and I borrowed my Mom's straw bag to complete this look. Aren't slides the best thing ever created? I love how they are so effortless yet versatile, favourite footwear for warmer days.

THE ROSE SILK SLIP

As you guys know, I've been on a blush pink streak recently and when you dress in blush pink from head to toe – you definitely have an obsession. Also, when you own a dress in 2 colors, it's without a doubt an essential (not even guilty). It's finally the best month of the year, the air is cooler which makes it the perfect time to layer up.

BLUSH AND STRIPES

Now when we speak of wardrobe staples, this striped button down shirt has got to be on my list. I've had it for about 4 years now and I'm not ready to part with it anytime soon. And what makes an Amelyn outfit a 100% complete, would be a blush pink anything. I was in cloud nine when Elleme sent this bag to me. The attention to detail is simple yet classy, I would say it is crafted to perfection for any occasion. You'll definitely be seeing more of this blush baby!

BUTTON DOWN SKIRT
And I'm back from Korea! Shot these photos wearing this Motel Rocks Ditsy button down skirt from Revolve Clothing. I own a couple of button down skirts but not one with prints, which makes it one of my favourite wardrobe staples. I matched this dotty number with an open back tee which seemed like the perfect idea for the crazy humid weather here in Singapore. REVOLVE carries all kinds of bottoms with different styles and cuts, here's to baring our legs all year round! What better excuse do we have since we live in a country with only one season?

MOM JEANS
I've been into simplifying my outfits lately, opting for the basics. You can never go wrong with a plain white tee, I bought mine a size up as I wanted it to look slouchy. Also, I've mentioned this before, but it's always good to invest in a pair of best quality jeans you can ever find. If it's going to last you down the years, trust me its worth it. This pair of vintage washed blue mom jeans is my latest addition to my ever growing jean collection.

WHITE OUT
Isn't it just the best feeling ever when you don't have to rack your brains out on matching your outfit with your shoes? Alohas Sandals got that settled for me when I received my pair. When you live in such a humid country, it feels like summer everyday and these sandals literally replaced my flip flops. Needless to say, I spend lesser time in dressing up for days that I want to dress down, do I even make sense? Alohas Sandals are made in Spain, designed in Barcelona and inspired by Hawaii, all 3 places in my list of 'To Visit' countries/cities, plus they come in so many colors that you'll be spoilt for choice. I have so much love for you, Alohas Sandals!

MONDAY BLUES
The title of my post is actually the complete opposite of how I'm feeling right now. Feeling really grateful for all that has happened this year. Both good and bad. The good would be the 5 trips in the past 6 months, the opportunities and the people I've met. While on the other hand, applying to a design job interview only to have your designs stolen instead. Seeing the ugly side of the industry and realising that not everyone is as true as what they portray themselves to be. I took in all these as lesson learnt and it made me even stronger. I've had unconditional love and support from my loved ones and I couldn't thank them enough. Literally can't wait for the year to end so I can see my family in the States next Spring.
Shot these photos for a collaboration with Marjorie and I received countless of compliments on how great this pair of pleated pants look. I wore this pleated beauty for Her World's Street Style Awards which you can view here! It's so effortless yet chic, I couldn't help but to choose this in 2 colors. I will be featuring 2 more items that they sent to me over the next week!

CHASING LIGHT
Back in Singapore and visited the Dreamworks exhibition with Dan. My trip to Hua Hin & Bangkok was such an amazing adventure. Took many photos which I can't wait to share with you guys! Also some of you may have noticed my new hair cut on my Instagram, I finally decided to go shorter with a perm. Will be doing a full post on my hair and stay close because you'll get to win some goodies for yourself as well! We snapped these photos after the exhibition and it seemed to be one of the hottest days so far. At least the weather can be an excuse to indulge in ice cream and iced chocolates am I right?

CITY SKY
So the weekend was spent in the heart of the city, wearing one of my favourite looks. Outerwear worn as a dress from the loveliest team over at Marjorie. Definitely one of my favourite pieces, it's effortless plus in the perfect shade of pink. The versatility of this vest is endless, works both ways when dressing down or up. I'm really excited to share with you the other pieces I've chosen from this collaboration with them. Speaking of weekends, I can't wait for the next one. I'll be spending 3 days in Hua Hin with Dan and the remaining 4 days we'll be in Bangkok city. Trying my best to fit everything into one luggage, and yes the packing guide post is coming up next.
