LA LA LAND

Hello my loves. Let me just start by saying how much I'm in love with LA, it's such a dream. There's this buzz of electricity and inspiration all around when I'm in this city. You know that good feeling a place gives you? LA is that for me.

CITY OF LOVE

IMG_5532
Hello San Francisco, the city of love and lights. The feeling I get every time I visit San Francisco is indescribable; the quaint streets, the chowders, the piers, oh I would love to live in this city if I could. I was in luck when I visited the Golden Gate Bridge as there was no fog at all. For the past 6 times I've visited the bridge, it was more of a view of the fog... Being in SF with my sisters and enjoying every bit of this city together, was just what I needed after not seeing them for almost 2 years. I will definitely be back again to explore more and create newer memories (like standing in the cold for the sunset until our noses turn red)..

PAINTED PONIES

Today marks the 26th page of the 2015 book. I've been absent for awhile now because so much has happened lately. I wouldn't say I started January off on a bad note, but I did spend New Year's in bed with a bad flu plus the raspiest voice ever. I also flew to Thailand for a week and returned home knowing that my beloved grandmother didn't have much time left with us. True enough, she did pass on. I've learned so much from everything that happened and drove all the energy into better things. There's this quote that I live by and I literally swear by it. "Everything is energy and thats all there is to it. Match the frequency of the reality you want and you cannot help but get that reality. It can be no other way. This is not philosophy. This is physics. -Bashar" This is by far the best quote I've read in my life. We're onto the last week of January and pretty soon I'll be on a 14 hour flight ready for my next adventure. Thank you, if you've been following up on my lifestyle, outfit and travel journeys, I truly appreciate it and it inspires me to want to capture more unforgettable moments on Beverly Ville.

“And the seasons they go 'round and 'round
And the painted ponies go up and down
We're captive on the carousel of time
We can't return we can only look behind
From where we came
And go round and round and round
In the circle game."

STAY GOLD

River Island Heart sunglasses, Lovisa necklaces. Photos by my sis, Amanda.

Have I told you how much I love the sun? It's been rather gloomy lately, which makes me miss the sunny days in California. I found this set of photos amongst the other thousands of my summer in USA, it makes me so happy looking back at my biggest adventure with my other half. I have not shared much about my time there other than outfit photos and Instagram updates, and yes I also admit that procrastination is the main reason why the video diary is not up yet. I promise to mark 3 stars next to this on my to-do list. Speaking of to-do lists, I feel like I have a 101 things to do for my birthday celebration. I'm turning 21! It's been years since I threw a party and this year I'm having a party with a theme I've always wanted since I was a little girl. The invitations are done, and I can't wait to have them printed. Remember, to do what you love, and most importantly love what you do. Stay gold, folks!

BACKYARD FRIENDS

wearing: American Apparel watermelon briefs, Windsor Smith platforms. Photos by Dan.

How is it that August is almost over? Someone help me understand.
Really enjoying the weekend, relaxing at home and still putting together the videos from NYC/California. I've started working again and saving
up for new adventures. Greece, Bali, Rome, top 3 on my list (for now). My thirst for travel and getting new inspiration are hard keeping up with,
sometimes I find it hard to keep up with myself. Does that even make sense? I've been wanting to go to a resort or some sort, soak up the sun and drink all kinds of juices they have to offer. Not to mention the sunsets, watching the sun drown into the horizon, its hypnotizing, I'm telling ya.

LA FLEUR

Last outfit post from California (cries). But not forgetting that I still have many other non outfit related posts queued up, including the video diary of my documented adventures. Also working on blogging every week, even though I feel like I have been the busiest ever since I got back. This entire trip brought out a whole new person in me. Take waking up early, for instance. I am so not a morning person, I'd give breakfasts a miss and eat lunch when it is almost 3 hours to dinner. Another huge lesson I learnt was not giving a single care towards trivial matters. I used to care so much about people's lives and opinions, how my actions would affect them and by them meaning people I don't even talk to. I was so bothered about almost everything till it became unhealthy.

All these changed slowly during the trip. I'm so blessed to have the most understanding Uncle, he taught me many life lessons that is truly beneficial for me. I talked to him about what I was bothered by and he told me, "You're making yourself your own victim". I don't know why but I just woke up. I came to a realisation that I don't need to be sweating on the small stuff when I can be just, happy. Ever since then, I dropped all aspects of irrelevance from my life and I have no idea how to tell you this, but I felt so much lighter and happier. I appreciate the people I care about even more than I did before. I feel like I am more focused on the things I want to achieve rather than splitting the attention on distractions that don't matter at all. And to top it off, I am now a morning person (yay). No needed explanation for this because I just make it a habit to go to bed early.

I've not written my thoughts for a really long time and now that I finally did, I truly hope that you will be happier by cutting off unnecessary matters. Drive that attention to something that brings you joy, be it baking or reading, whatever that calls out to you, baby steps!

CALIFORNIA: BAY

These photos were snapped 2 days before I left the States, definitely having post California/New York withdrawals from looking back at the adventures I had from May till last week. Will definitely do up videos of my travel diaries, but it's gonna take me awhile because I have over a 100 (I'm not even kidding) videos that I shot. Missing my family, the weather, the atmosphere, the barbeques in the backyard, driving 45 minutes just to get  the best tacos, not forgetting In-N-Out, oh the list will go on and on. I feel so blessed to be able to have Dan with me during this time, for him to meet the people I keep close to my heart. We have been on 4 trips together and this is the most memorable one yet, I may just have a post about us two or maybe not? Have a lovely week ahead!

TO THE CITY

Guilty again, for using my frappuccino as part of my outfit accessory. (oops) Anyway, as mentioned in the previous post, I took the bart up to San Francisco with Dan. We started off our journey from Union Square and ended off at Pier 39, with the help of our map of course. The walk was a really long one, from Union Square, to Chinatown, North Beach, Washington Square, Lombard, Chestnut, Bay and finally Fisherman's Wharf/Pier 39. I managed to sit on the San Francisco carousel after all these years, I couldn't be any happier at that moment. The excitement of choosing which painted pony or dragon I wanted, I felt like a kid all over again. I know I keep going on about how this summer is turning out so great for me, but
it just is. I feel so lucky to be able to travel and spend quality time with the people I love.
