INTO THE BLUES

IMG_5532

Here's my visual diary from the amazing days in Cebu, Philippines. It felt like paradise everyday. We travelled from island to island on different forms of transport; boat, jitney, motorcycles and a mini van! We stayed in 4 different resorts via airbnb throughout our entire trip here.

First up, we headed to Tumalog Falls, Oslob. The falls were almost dried up and it was a lot different from the pictures we saw on the net. But it was still beautiful and peaceful as we were the only ones there. The next morning, we swam with the whale sharks, such an unforgettable experience. Here's Anita with the beautiful creature.

After we swam with the whale sharks, we took a boat to Sumilon Island. The waters were unbelievably clear, it was a dream. We also went to Apo Island, where we swam with the sea turtles and on to Dumaguete and Badian the next few days.

All our time was spent on snorkelling, crab hunting with the locals, playing basketball with the kids, having countless mango shakes, collecting shells, witnessing the prettiest sunrise and sunsets, having breakfasts by the sea, and counting endless stars when night falls. We then headed for Badian to unleash our inner daredevils. We conquered canyoneering and cliff jumping in Kawasan Falls. Yet another beautiful creation by Mother Nature. We have no photos of our activities while we were there but I'm proud to say I jumped from a 20ft cliff. I would do it again, just saying. My friends were even bigger daredevils; jumping from 50ft to 80ft cliffs, my heart literally dropped while watching them plunge down. Definitely recommending Kawasan Canyoneering to everyone, it's one helluva adventure. Feel free to leave any questions or anything really, in the comment box below!
