Hi my loves, we're back with Part 2 of my India adventure! Really missing this beautiful country while I write up this blog post. All the photos from today's post are shot in Jaipur, also known as the Pink City. Did you know that every building (except mosques) in Jaipur are painted a terracotta Pink? It is actually a law that every building must be painted in this color scheme, as the color Pink symbolises hospitality. I would have a law like this too, if I had a city to run.
The different doorways are probably my favourite part about Jaipur, the carvings and colors are beyond beautiful. There are 4 different doorways facing a parade square, and every doorway represents a different season.

There was an option to ride an elephant up to the Fort, but we opted for a jeep as we felt that it was a little cruel for the elephants. Amber Fort is huge and the Mirror Palace (Hall of Mirrors) stood out to me the most. When you shine a light towards the mirrors, the reflection looks like a thousand little stars twinkling back at you. It truly is a magical sight.

The Wind Palace reminded me a lot of the Grand Budapest Hotel, from the shape of the building to the many windows, and of course the Pink too. I honestly enjoyed every bit of India, I would head back again, just to see the amazing architecture and to have the food one more time. India is our 7th destination of 2017, and it definitely made it to the top 3! x
