Sharing a new post on how we shot our photos on our recent trip to Phang Nga Bay!
One of the most frequently asked questions I receive is how do I take photos or what goes on behind a photo, etc. So here are some tips and tricks we do when we travel! Pssst! Some gadgets featured can be found on iShopChangi.com tax-free!
1) STYLE YOUR SHOTS
The trick that we like to do is to arrange the bedsheets at our desired photo spot. This can easily be done with the comforter, bedsheets or pillows and then setting them all up for that dreamy photo!
2) TRIPOD AND BLUETOOTH FUNCTION
When Dan and I are traveling on our own, we don't have a photographer to help us with our couple photos, and that's where the tripod comes in handy. We use the bluetooth function to connect the camera to our phone, and the phone acts as our remote to help us snap the photo.

Olympus OM-D EM-1 MARK II
12-40mm lens
JUSINO Tripod
3) FIRST PERSON PERSPECTIVE

You can get all creative when it comes to framing a picture. You can either use objects to help frame a photo or in this case, we used Dan's legs to be in the photo. It doesn't mean that the photographer can't be in the photo as well! *wink*
4) FRAMING YOUR SUBJECT

As mentioned in point 3, you can use objects around you to help frame your picture!
In the photos here, we used the curtains to help frame the subject. This helps to gives more depth to the photo and more focus on me.
5) WEAR COLORS THAT POP
This is no surprise, but I love packing colorful dresses with me when I travel! Doing some research of where you're going definitely helps with the outfit choice. Always pack in a mix solid colors or patterned ones so you can have a variation of different looks!
6) DRONE
We always bring our drone if the destination that we are traveling to permits it. To find out more information on this, these are the 2 websites that we usually do our research on:
https://www.dji.com/au/flysafe/geo-map
https://www.uavsystemsinternational.com/drone-laws-by-country/
The drone that we are currently using is the DJI Mavic Air.
