DECLUTTERING: DRESSER TOP

IMG_5532

Felt the need to freshen up my room a little, so I gave my dresser top a quick declutter by minimising the unnecessary, and added some decorative home accessories for a finishing touch!

BAG IT (Part 3!)

IMG_5532
Today's post is about.. well the title says it all. It's been a really long time since I did a post like that, the last one I did was back in 2011. Figured I'd give you guys an updated version! It's kinda fun looking back and seeing the knick knacks I carried around with me. So here's the 2015 edition of What's In My Bag!

SHARING A LUGGAGE

IMG_5532
In no less than 6 hours, I'll be off to the airport with Dan for a beach getaway, so I'm going to keep this short.
Dan and I will be sharing a luggage and I thought it'll be fun to share with you guys what we have in it.
Let's start with tops!

We made an effort to try and match our outfits with each other, and of course avoiding identical outfits. So we
packed in tropical printed tops and shorts.

& since it's a week long trip to the beach, mixing and matching bikinis are definitely way more fun than just bringing one.

What's a beach getaway without denim shorts?

Let's not forget the accessories, get your sun busters and fruity lip balms all packed and you're..

Hope you guys liked this short post!

ALL MY LOVE

With Valentine's day right round the corner, I couldn't wait to share with you on some yummy gift ideas that could be for yourself or your loved ones! It's easy, fun and inexpensive, say bye to fretting and racking your brains out on what to get this Valentine's Day!

This Valentine's day falls on a weekend, what better way to wake up to a quick lovely breakfast on the go! It could be either sweet or savoury, it's entirely up to you. Plus, everything can be done in no less than 15 minutes. If your loved ones are health junkies or a super sweet tooth, prepare your jar of love the way they would love it. You could even prepare one jar for yourself too, have a breakfast in bed and start your day with kisses and a movie under your fort of blankets and pillows. Valentine's Day doesn't necessarily have to consist of expensive gifts and fancy candlelit dinners, what's most important is spending the day together with your loved ones. I made Dan promise me not to buy me flowers this year as I find the price way too ridiculous! We had a lot of fun putting this post together and we were so full after eating up whatever we made.

Here's how and what we did!

For the Health Junkie:

Mason Jar - Honey cornflakes with sliced almonds, strawberry low fat yogurt with strawberry slices and blueberries, topped with a dollop of honey!

Smoothie - 3 spoons of strawberry yogurt, 1/2 cup of milk, 2 strawberries, chia seeds and ice cubes.

For the Sweet Tooth:

Mason Jar - Honey cornflakes with sliced almonds, crushed Oreos, Nutella, Reese's peanut butter cups, and a few blueberries.
Smoothie - 1/2 a banana, nutella, milk, 3 Oreos and ice cubes.

-
Mason Jars are sold on my store under the lifestyle tab, check out with the code "beverlyville" and enjoy a $1 off each mason jar you order. Since Valentine's Day is nearing, all mason jars will come with silver heart confetti in them!

Shop here.

STAY GOLD

River Island Heart sunglasses, Lovisa necklaces. Photos by my sis, Amanda.

Have I told you how much I love the sun? It's been rather gloomy lately, which makes me miss the sunny days in California. I found this set of photos amongst the other thousands of my summer in USA, it makes me so happy looking back at my biggest adventure with my other half. I have not shared much about my time there other than outfit photos and Instagram updates, and yes I also admit that procrastination is the main reason why the video diary is not up yet. I promise to mark 3 stars next to this on my to-do list. Speaking of to-do lists, I feel like I have a 101 things to do for my birthday celebration. I'm turning 21! It's been years since I threw a party and this year I'm having a party with a theme I've always wanted since I was a little girl. The invitations are done, and I can't wait to have them printed. Remember, to do what you love, and most importantly love what you do. Stay gold, folks!

DIY: SMOOTHIES

Back here again after a full week's rest from the horrible jet lag! Body clock has adjusted back to the time zone but not for the nut case weather... please save me from this humidity. Thought that today's blog content seemed so appropriate for this weather. Well, let's start beating this heat with homemade smoothies shall we?

WORKSPACE

Some prefer separating business from home, but I personally prefer working from home. Sitting at my corner making lists and creating new projects for this blog with my absolute favourite Campfire Treat candle burning away is pure bliss. I know having long lists sound like a pain in the butt but just sitting around doing nothing drives me nuts. (okay, that was an unintended rhyme) Currently working on a new project at 1am in the morning and it's kinda exciting! Really can't wait to reveal what it is but good things are worth the wait aye?

ON THE 7th DAY OF CHRISTMAS

Thoughts of 2013 as it is also the last day of the year. Before I move on with that, I know this is supposed to be my gifts post, but I received some late birthday gifts so it's gonna take awhile more before I post it up here! If you have no clue what I'm rambling on about, I posted a photo on my Instagram (@Amebeverly) with some of my birthday gifts and captioned that this post will be showing you guys what I received for my birthday! Moving on to my thoughts on 2013, it has indeed been a great year.
